My body shop obsession
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a number of The Body Shop products shown in my stories. This has stemmed from a month ago where I attended a bloggers event at The Body Shop in Chichester and ever since I’ve grown some sort of obsession with their products… so I apologise if you get sick of them but I can’t help it!
I’ve always liked their products but never looked too much into them as I use a lot of other brands. However, after been invited to a couple of events held in their Chichester and Brighton stores and finding out more about how their products are cruelty free and also becoming vegan, I’ve been much more interested in trying more of their products. I wanted to write a post sharing some of my favourite products that I’ve been using over the past two months. I have many more products than these five but this post would become ridiculously long so I’m going to save you the time and narrow it down!
I actually found out about this product a few months back before attending the events. There are three different types; Vitamin C, Drops of Youth and Drops of Light. I chose the Vitamin C one as it was recommended to me and I use it every so often when in the shower/bath. This product is basically a liquid face mask that you rub over your skin and peels off all the dead skin that you didn’t realise you had! I must admit, it is pretty gross when you see how much dead skin there is but it exfoliates the skin and makes it feel so soft and smooth. I use this on my face after a long day of make-up or I even use on my feet as I get hard soles from running so it helps soften them. What I also love about The Body Shop is that their products are so affordable, however, this is one of their pricier items but it’s so worth the cost.
Now, this is my favourite item of them all. If you could fall in love with a product, this would be the one. I took this away from the first event after smelling it, washed my hair and left it on for about 5 minutes. Let’s just say, it smelt that good that I then went ahead and bought the shampoo and conditioner. It doesn’t just smell like bananas but it also made my hair feel so fresh and nourished after and now I can’t stop using it. I’ve tried a few branded shampoos and conditioners that smell great but this definitely comes out on top for me.
Almond Shower Gel
So, I was using a lot of Lush shower gels beforehand, which I will still use, but this shower gel was much cheaper and I wanted to try out a new scent so thought I would give it a go. If you don’t like marzipan then this may not be the one for you as it quite literally smells of it. I really like the nutty scent and it lathers so well on the skin that you don’t need a sponge. I use the Almond and Milk body cream after to keep the smell on me. Unfortunately, this shower gel is no more!
Talking about Almond Milk and Honey, I grabbed this hand cream to try out. I couldn’t live without hand cream, if I don’t have any then my hands would just dry out. So I always have at least 3 hand creams at a time! I added this one to the collection and it’s perfect. The smell is so strong and amazing and it comes in a little tube that I can take in any size bag, even my purse! It makes my hands feel so soft and soothed after applying it. I’ve only had it a month and it’s already running out so think I’ll be restocking soon.
The last favourite of mine is this Hawaiian Kukui body cream from their Spa of the World range. I actually won this in their Hook the Duck competition they were running at their Chichester event (surprisingly harder than I thought but very fun)! It smells so good, just like the scents you have in a spa and makes my skin feel so refreshed after using. I liked it that much that I’ve gone and bought one of their shower gels to use once I’ve finished my Almond shower gel!
So, these are just a few of my favourite products that I’ve been using but there is many more that I could recommend. Do you use any Body Shop products? Which ones are your favourite?
This post was out of my own choice to write and all reviews are my own.
