London Fashion Weekend
So, this weekend I took a trip up to London and grabbed myself a ticket to the London fashion weekend at Somerset House! Of course I carried my camera round with me to shoot some images of the best outfits on the catwalk in the trend show and wanted to share with you my photos and a few of my favourite styles from the show.
There were four trends in the show, Hyper Florals, Make It Monochrome, That Seventies Show and Shimmer and Shine, my favourite definitely being the shimmer trend because I rocked up to the event in my own shimmery top. The outfits worn by the models were inspired by The Outnets pick. It is a fashion outlet selling a range of designer clothes at very good discounts, ranging from stylists such as Lanvin and Christopher Kane to Alexander Wang. So I was snapping lots of images of the models as they walked down the catwalk capturing each outfit from each trend and here are a few of the images that I captured.
Hyper Florals was the first trend of the catwalk, showing oversized petals and bursts of colour brought by the designers creating chic and vibrant outfits. You can click on the images to view them in a larger scale.
The next trend was Shimmer and Shine which consisted of a collection of light neutral colours in shimmery materials to create light catching outfits. I was fascinated by this trend in the way they had produced dazzling outfits with metallics, however the colours were pastel so they didn’t end up going over the top.
The third trend that was walked down the catwalk was Make It Monochrome, which you’ll probably guess was black and white outfits. This trend is probably the most worn trend this spring because it makes a strong statement as an outfit. Half of my wardrobe is definitely black clothing.
The last trend was That Seventies Show where suede, crochet and lace showed that the seventies is being brought back! The outfits were old in style yet sassy and elegant as they strutted down the catwalk.
So they were all the four trends of SS15 that I saw on the catwalk, check out the london fashion weekend website (http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk) and the outnet website (http://www.theoutnet.com) for more detail about the event and to maybe even grab your own outfit inspired from the styles, hope you enjoyed my blog x
