Review of Purepotions Skincare

I was recently sent a few products from Purepotions Skin Salvation range. So, a bit about Purepotions, it was founded by a mother who was searching for a moisturiser for her daughter’s dry skin. The products are a natural skincare range consisting of organic and local ingredients and are also cruelty-free. I’ve never suffered too badly with dry skin until a couple of years ago when my skin had a bad reaction and ever since I’ve been looking for the perfect moisturiser to prevent my skin drying out. I was sent three items; cooling cream, hand cream and a facial oil, which I’ve been using over the past couple of weeks and reviewed below.

Skin Salvation Cooling Cream £19

The cooling cream is a soothing moisturiser made up of organic shea butter, menthol and aloe vera to help hot skin. It’s produced for those who get hot, flushed skin and helps cool the redness. With the sun out in Brighton at the moment, I’ve managed to obtain sunburn like a typical Brit. I’ve been using the cream on sunburn to help keep it cool and moisturised and it’s worked a treat. As soon as I put the cream on, my skin felt instantly cooler. The cream isn’t perfumed but there’s a slight hint of menthol producing a much better scent than aloe vera gel.

Skin Salvation Intensive Hand Cream  £10.99

I have a slight obsession with hand cream and always have at least 3 on the go. After I went on holiday a few weeks back, my hand’s got quite dry on top and my usual Nivea hand cream wasn’t doing the job in moisturising so I’ve been using this product for a few weeks to see how it goes. I must admit, the smell isn’t very appealing and I much prefer a scented hand cream. However, after using it for a week my skin felt refreshed and the dryness faded away. The cream is also suited for those who have eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis and is made up of sea buckthorn, shea butter and hemp seed oil.

Skin Salvation Intensive Facial Oil £22

The facial oil contains rosehip and lavendar and is used to help hydrate dry and sensitive skin. I’ve only recently started using face oil and tried out a few products to see what works best for my skin. I just add a drop of the oil in with my face moisturiser so my skin doesn’t feel too oily before bed. I wouldn’t say this is my favourite facial oil as I find it quite thick but it has definitely made my skin feel hydrated and softer than before and I would recommend it to anyone who does suffer with dry skin on their face, it’s also 100% natural!

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my views on the product range as I’ve enjoyed using them all and will carry on using them. All reviews are my own but thank you to Purepotions for letting my try them!
