NARS Haul

I’m not a beauty expert but just like every girl I love make-up and throroughly enjoy reading other blogs about beauty, learning tips and ideas. I’ve never spent a lot on make up, I’ve always kept to the cheaper brands such as Rimmel or Maybelline but recently they just don’t seem to be working for my skin anymore so after reading review after review on various make up brands, I decided to spend out a bit more and treat myself to some NARS cosmetics. Some people may say you don’t need to spend over £20 on a primer when you can get a good one for under a tenner but after trying out this brand I would definitely say that spending just that bit more is worth the expenditure.

I have been searching for the perfect primer to smooth out my foundation, especially as I currently use Rimmel Stay Matte foundation (£5.99) which is quite a thick coverage. After reading reviews on NARS’ Pro-Prime Pore Refining Primer (£26), I decided to purchase it and try it out myself. The results were brilliant. It works so well with my skin and my foundation as it creates a smooth base layer for my foundation to glide over.

I also grabbed myself the new Audacious Mascara (£21) which is volumizing, lengthening and black all in one. The brush has alternating bristles which are long and short, gliding on the formula so smoothly that there won’t be any clumpy lashes in sight! I would definitely recommend this mascara for your make-up bag.

The final item I purchased was the Killer Shine lipstick which is part of NARS’ collaberation with Steven Klein. I chose Redemption which is a nude colour with a slight shimmer to it so it almost works as a highlighter for your lips. The shine to it is so pretty and works perfectly with a natural look for those days when you don’t want to wear loads of make-up. You do have to apply the lipstick a few times throughout the day but I think it’s worth the effort and is great for any Winter style!
