My 5 beauty must-haves

There are always those items in your make-up bag which you can’t go anywhere without. So, I’m going to share my 5 must-haves which I always use and are always on me.

1.bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer RRP £23

I’ve gone through so many primers and never been blown away by them until I tried bareMinerals. The primer comes in a small bottle with a pump and comes out as an oily texture. Once you smooth it over your face it creates a perfect soft base for your foundation to glide over. It’s amazing and I highly recommend it! It makes my foundation look so smooth and keeps it on throughout the day without making my face go shiny.

2. The Balm Cindy Lou Manizer Highlighter RRP £20

Highlighter is an essential in my make-up bag. I wear it all the time even if I don’t fancy putting on foundation. I wanted a good pigmented powder that created a bold shimmer on my cheek and researched other blogs to find a decent one – I finally found it! The Balm’s Cindy Lou Manizer comes in a cute silver and pink compact with a mirror inside so you can apply it anywhere. I would describe the colour as a soft peach shade with a slight frost to it so it doesn’t come up too dark and it stays on all day!

3. Jour Cosmetics Long-Wear Lip Topper in Frost Bite RRP £13.50

A lot of beauty brands are now bringing out liquid lipsticks, Jouer Cosmetics being one of them. I purchased one of their liquid lipsticks in Bronze Rose and loved it so I asked for another for Christmas. However, I saw their lip topper in Frost Bite and was pulled towards the sparkle of it. It works perfectly over matte lipsticks by adding a slight shimmer to it. The gloss does wear off over time but it leaves traces of glitter on the lips and still looks good.

4. MAC Eye Shadow in Naked Lunch RRP £13.50

I’ve never been one for wearing eye shadow but I’ve seen so many people doing amazing things with their eyes. I won’t be able to do the things some people can do but it tempted me to do more with mine. I was given a MAC eyeshadow for my birthday last year in the shade Naked Lunch which I wear a lot! I’m not one for bold colours so this colour was perfect as it is a very light shade of pink with a slight shimmer to it (there’s a trend here…). I recommend it if you’re looking to add a natural touch to your eyes but not if you’re looking for bold colours.

5. MAC Opulash Optimum Black Mascara RRP £15

Another MAC product that is a must-have for me is the Opulash Optimum Black Mascara. It has a big brush that is perfect for seperating the eye lashes whilst thickening them out. On the website it claims the mascara lasts 15 hours which I totally agree with as I never have to touch it up and it’s so easy to wipe off in the evenings because you don’t need to put much on. Unfortunately, the one downside is the actual product runs out quite quickly and I don’t wear mascara every day!

I hope you enjoyed the post and it may influence you to add some to your own make-up bag!
